Google begins rolling out KitKat update to first round of devices

Google has taken the earliest possible opportunity to give some good news to existing Nexus tablet owners. In an official post on the Android Google+ page the company has announced that the latest and greatest release of the Android operating system will be be coming to the Nexus 7 and Nexus 10. The announcement will come as great news to the Android community that is irritatingly used to waiting months for the latest version of the Favorited OS to become available on their existing hardware.
The official Google+ listing insists that owners of existing 2012 and 2013 Nexus 7 hardware, as well as owners of the larger Nexus 10 tablet will be getting “a tasty update” to Android 4.4 KitKat, starting from today. Google has also noted that the Nexus 4 smartphone and Nexus 7 hardware with cellular capabilities will also benefit from the update extremely soon. For those Android lovers who are still in a minimum term contract and haven’t been able to grab the LG-manufactured Nexus 5, then this news from Google represents a first opportunity to experience all that’s new within KitKat.

There is still no official confirmation from Google as to when owners of other Nexus hardware will be expecting to receive the KitKat update, apart from the Nexus 7 and 10 that is. Considering the amount of time, work and resources that have gone into getting Android 4.4 KitKat into the polished state it is in makes perfect sense for the company to want it on as many devices as possible, and that too as soon as possible.

Android KitKat represents the next step in the development of Google’s mobile operating system. Comprising of a more polished design, improved overall performance and a plethora of new features. It’s definitely the most notable release of the OS to date. KitKat will offer those using advanced features such as automated voice search, full-screen album and movie art, immersive media consumption as well as a dramatically improved and more responsive multitasking implementation.

Lenovo's Vibe Z unveiled with Snapdragon 800, dual-SIM tray and Samsung-inspired flip cover

Lenovo's been using a lot of MediaTek chipsets for its phones of late, but don't worry, it hasn't forgotten to share some love with Qualcomm. What we have here is the Vibe Z aka K910, which is a Snapdragon 800 cousin of the MT6589T-poweredVibe X, but with the same anti-fingerprint finish on the back. By comparison, the former is bigger and 1mm thicker (at 7.9mm), but it does pack a 5.5-inch full HD IPS display, a dual-SIM tray, a 13-megapixel f/1.8 main camera (with dual-LED flash) and a 5-megapixel wide-angle front imager. For the Sony IMX135-powered main camera, Lenovo says it's capable of shooting up to 10 stills per half second, plus its proprietary low-light algorithm apparently produces notably brighter pictures with effective noise reduction. We'll believe it when we see it.

While no battery size is mentioned just yet, Lenovo claims a lab-tested standby time of 278.5 hours for the WCDMA + GSM model. There will also be a CDMA2000 + GSM model for China Telecom users, as well as an LTE + GSM flavor for the international market. Interestingly, the company is offering an S View Cover-like flip case for the Vibe Z, but it comes with the added trackpad that lets you receive or reject calls in the usual spot, instead of having to poke inside the window. We doubt Samsung is going to be happy about this, though LG, Pantech and some others have borrowed this idea before.

Lenovo China's website says it will soon be taking pre-orders for its latest Android device, but you'll have to stay tuned for the pricing and availability for the rest of the world.

Format USB Flash Drive In Access Denied & Write Protection Error

The use of USB pen drives are increasing day by day, many reasons of capturing the market of of portable drives, firstly, it is cheaper than portable HDD and easy to carry even in the pocket, secondly, the use of USB flash drives increasing in all electronic devices. We can use USB pen drives several places, everyone has TV, DVD/CD player at home, now all latest DVD/CD players and LCD & LED TVs have 2-3 USB ports where we can use our USB pen drive to watch our movies, listen to music and see our pics.

Movies files capacity are higher now days due to their high resolution quality so that we only can put some movies in USB and after watching them need to delete them and while deleting those files these errors (The file or disk is write protected & access denied) occurs.

This access denied and write protection problem is very common and millions of people are suffering from it, we are receiving many email stating to the problem of write protection error and access denied while copying files or formatting USB device where people ask for solution on them. So we are making this post for our readers to solve their problem with 3 simple methods.

Method # 1:
First and main reason of your device to display such errors due to USB hardware problem or some file in use which usually occurs due to presence of virus.

We assume that you have tried formatting of USB drive by normal way. My computer > Removable Disk, right click on it and click start, then the message appears like below screenshot:

So we recommend you to go for low level format, simply go to command prompt by clicking start > run and type CMD, Then type Format E:, where E: is a drive letter of our USB flash drive, you can check your drive letter and use it after Format command which is external command.

After entering this command you will be asked to Proceed with Format then type Y, press enter. In some USB you may be asked to verify your drive first then format which is also no problem in performing that task.

Method # 2:
There are several tools available online but we have tried that tool and works great for us.

This Unlocker tool works if you are unable to delete a file in Windows, and can't figure out what program's using it, Unlocker is the solution.

Cannot delete folder: It is being used by another person or program.
Cannot delete file: Access is denied.
There has been a sharing violation.
The source or destination file may be in use.
The file is in use by another program or user.
Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected.

Download the file first from below link, install it, now simply right-click the USB Flash drive, folder or file and select Unlocker. If the folder or file is locked, a window listing of lockers will appear. Simply click Unlock All and you are done! See Screenshots below:

Method # 3:

In this method we'll tell you to enable and disable Write Protection of USB pen drive, just by tweaking Windows registry we can make it possible.

Open the Windows Registry editor by clicking start > run and type regedit or regedt32 and press enter.

Now Registry Editor will appear on your screen, now locate below registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\StorageDevicePolicies

Step 1. You may need to create the key StorageDevicePolicies if it does not exist. Select Edit > New > Dword (32-bit) and name the entry WriteProtect.

Step 2. Right click on the new entry, select modify and change the value from 0 to 1. A value of 1 Enables Write Protection, means disables writing to all connected USB devices. If you want to enable writing again or remove write protection in future then you can change the value of the key to 0.

Errors shows after Enabling Write Protection:

The disk is write-protected.
or
Remove the write-protection or use another disk.
